Melissa Clyde, MSW (Diné), is a Native philanthropic leader, social worker, and trusted advisor with deep experience advancing Indigenous-led systems change and community well-being. Her work is rooted in a lifelong commitment to strengthening Tribal sovereignty, supporting community-driven solutions, and advancing equitable practices in partnership with Indigenous communities. Melissa has partnered with Tribal Nations, nonprofits, and philanthropic organizations to provide strategic consultation, capacity building, training, and technical assistance, systems transformation, and Indigenous leadership development. She brings a nuanced understanding of the intersections between philanthropy, policy, governance, and culture, helping funders and institutions align their approaches with Indigenous values, priorities, and ways of knowing. Throughout her career, Melissa has led and supported national and Tribal initiatives that center the voices, leadership, and lived experiences of Indigenous peoples most impacted by systems and policies. She is recognized for cultivating meaningful partnerships, facilitating collaborative learning, and advancing culturally grounded strategies that foster long-term, sustainable impact. Guided by her Diné teachings and cultural values, Melissa approaches her work with humility, relational accountability, and a deep belief in the strength and resilience of Indigenous communities.
