Our Partners

The Christensen Fund supports partners in four geographical portfolios: Global, United States, Kenya, and Mexico. We also advance Indigenous rights through our Indigenous Leaders Program as well as a strategic investment portfolio, known as Purpose Aligned Capital. Each of these programs allows us to work in close partnership with leaders and communities to resource key initiatives that benefit Indigenous territories, lifeways, beliefs, and cultures. We support strategic alliance building and policy for greater representation for Indigenous communities on a regional, national, and international scale.

Global

The Christensen Fund supports action at both the grassroots and international policy-making levels in alignment with the Movement for Indigenous Rights.

Kenya

Our Kenya program supports leaders in Kenya, as well as partners across East Africa, to build a network and solidarity around Indigenous rights, values, and heritage.

Mexico

The Christensen Fund supports the recognition of Indigenous autonomy and self determination, as well as the protection of Indigenous territories, in Mexico.

United States

Since our founding, the Christensen Fund has supported Indigenous communities and intertribal organizations across the United States on issues ranging from climate and economic development to narrative change.

Indigenous Leader Program

Launched in 2022, this program supports the work of a select group of Indigenous leaders to help advance their unique vision and work for two years. The partners gain access and contribute to the full range of The Christensen Fund’s philanthropic efforts, including networks, convenings, and speaking engagements.

Purpose Aligned Capital Program

Many Indigenous communities, entrepreneurs, and businesses lack critical access to capital, so The Christensen Fund aims to assist Indigenous-led and Indigenous-serving enterprises in building their own assets through values-aligned, purpose-aligned, and program-related investments.
