International Funders for Indigenous Peoples (IFIP) is holding its Eleventh Annual Conference from May 16 to May 18, 2012. IFIP aims to ‘transform philanthropy globally through encouraging and facilitating partnerships with Indigenous Peoples to further vision, imagination, and responsibility to tackle the challenges of our times.’
This year’s conference is the the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco. The theme of the conference is Towards a Better World: Strengthening Indigenous Sustainability. There will be three tracks that explore current issues in: Investing in Indigenous Models of Sustainable Development, Strengthening Partnerships and Alliances, and Protecting Ancestral Territories and Safeguarding Human Rights.
